Yes. Depending on the size this type of generator would work well with a MIG welder. There may be the occasional issue with instability as the generator may not work well with a load like a welder. However, most factory units are tested with the welder/generator combination so this should not happen.
All you have to do is test the combination before you mount it on the truck – you may have to make a switch out with a new generator. But that’s why we run tests.
